The paper and inks are archival quality. The artwork was created digitally, using Corel Painter, the world's leading natural media painting application and Photoshop. This piece, "Bird of Paradise", was taken during 2004 in Bar Harbor, Maine as a raw digital image and processed in Photoshop.The cards have a unique, 3 dimensional, "Etched" appearance. On the back of each card: Bird of Paradise, Bar Harbor. Maine Wooden flowers in shop window, Bar Harbor Maine.  The process employed in the computer darkroom does not involve heavy plates, long exposure times, nor toxic chemicals. However, as with the early pioneers, the final image is a function of light, tone and composition. Relieved of the dangers associated with the original process, we can only hope to some day master a technique that "mirrors the truth".
