This is a fine, original photographic print by internationally known "Astro Imager/Artist" Frank Loch.
He obtains the original Astro Images with his large computer controlled Telescope.
This photograph is a digitally combined composite of 20 individual images taken over two nights September 2nd and 3rd of 2001!
M 27 is a Planetary Nebula in the constellation Vulpecula. It is one of the largest in its class at about 8 x 5 arc minutes, and one of the nearest at about 900 light years away. It is about 2 1/2 light years in diameter, and its central star (a bluish dwarf) about 13.5 magnitude. The blue color is the fluorescence of doubly ionized Oxygen by the ultraviolet radiation from the central star. It is thought to be about 48,000 years old.
The print is hand signed and numbered by the Artist. It is printed on fine long life "Premim Glossy Photo Paper". Print size is 11 x 8.5 inches. The "Sample " does not appear on the print as sold.
The print is shipped flat by FC Insured US Postal Mail.
