two vintage sketches

both signed with what looks like valerie y brockmann. 

unsure of age... but guessing from the 1950s. 

each measures about 9 by 12 inches.  done on art paper. paper is yellowing heavily on each.  the second one has yellowing what looks like old paste marks (although there doesn't seem to be any residue to the touch)

first one is an ink drawing of a tropical topless woman carrying a basket on her head, skirt wrapped around here.  done in black ink.  a few tiny hints of white applied.  want to say that you can see faint pencil outlining in a few places, but hard to say conclusively.

the second one is done in black ink and watercolor.  small figure, presumably a child draped in a green sarong type garment.  standing in front of two large fruit displays.  the displays consist of one tall central spindle around which different kinds of fruit are arrayed in yellow, orange, red, green.  with wispy yellow straw or whatever skirting the bottom of the display.  each topped with umbrella.

All Items are Sold AS IS--many of these items haven't seen daylight in years--being from estates. As such, they may have accumulated gunk or whatever and have been cleaned as my expertise allows without affecting the item's quality. Shipping combined for multiple purchases.
