This large antique sailboat (33" tall x 25" long) is pretty old - we're not sure of the exact age, but we believe it's from the 50's. The main body of the ship, as well as the masts and stand are carved from wood, while the keel and rudder are metal. The ship also has brass fittings throughout (screws, eye-bolts and tie-downs). The ship weighs about 3 lbs.
Painted blue and red, the original paint is in good shape except for some chipping at the bottom of the keel. The great workmanship and life-like look to the ship (from the various knots used on the "ropes", to the weathered look of the sails) really separate this piece of folk art from the rest of the fleet.
Shipping Insurance is REQUIRED for this listing and will be charged at the rate of $1.65 per $100 of coverage. If you are located outside the U.S. or anywhere that shipping costs may vary, please use the shipping calculator to approximate costs.
