This wonderful lamp is 7-3/4" high (not including the socket), the base is 5-1/2" x 6" and it is styled to look like an old hand pump well with a bucket sitting below the faucet.

The pump handle that extends out of the well shaft can be pressed down to the turn the lamp on and off and the wood bucket has two metal bands that go around the body and the metal handle can be raised or lowered. The top and all sides of the base and well shaft are covered with a carved geometric pattern of small squares divided into eight sections that give it a Tramp Art feel without having applied layers of wood.

This lamp has been professionally rewired so the socket, pull chain, cord and plug are new. The heads of the 4 screws that attach the horizontal top piece to the shaft are visible around the base of the socket.

After rewiring the lamp they also put a piece of new felt on the bottom over the original green felt.

Please note that

this piece shows the usual small hand crafting and hand carving imperfections -
as noted above it has been professionally rewired so the socket, pull chain, wiring and plug are new -
the original finish on this piece has been cleaned but it still shows several small scuffs, scratches and white spots -
you can see a bit of the old green felt around the edges of the new brown felt - and
the brown felt shows some scuffing and wear

as shown in the photographs above.

This great lamp will be a welcome addition to any collection of American Folk Art as well as being a charming and functional accent in any Rustic Lodge, Log Cabin, Cozy Country or Folk Art Filled Sleek City Chic decor!
