OLD MAN WOOD HAND CARVING ART NUMBERED, UNSIGNDED - AMERICANA!
This charming, handcarved piece of an old man with a beard, wearing a hat, is perhaps a folklore character. It has the number 760 written clearly on the back of the piece, but no where can I find a signature. I bought it at an estate sale a few years ago, but was unable to find out it's providence before that. It measures about 6.5" across at its widest point and about 7" in length, at its longest point. I don't know what type of wood it is made of. It has been varnished on the front of the piece, but not the back. It appears to be in excellent condition, with no chips, or cracks in the wood. It is a wonderful piece of AMERICANA, collectible art!
