The night
mists are still lying on the land, it is not yet dawn. The tiny lamp
lights the doorway and part of the vine that twines around the tree.
Inside the Mist Sweeper wakens, yawns, and stretches. When the first
glow of dawn peeks over the edge of the earth, the Mist Sweeper will
take the tiny broom at the door and fly over the land sweeping the mist
from where it lies on the fields and hills; teasing the clinging white
swirls from the bushes and trees. When all the mist is cleared and the
land lies soft in the morning light, the Mist Sweeper will return home
for a morning cup of chicory coffee.
The story is printed in fairy script and enclosed with the card.
ACEO
art card, 3.5" x 2.5". This image was created from one of my
photographs of a knothole in a tree, where I believe a fairy lives. I
then draw and paint the details on the photograph with a digital pen. I
enhance what I perceive to be the door and then add other accessories
such as little lanterns.
