Quality hand painted watercolor on paper by american Artist Charles Walker. Signed and dated 1911. Measures 13 1/2" x 17". Well listed in Who was Who with signature very close to representative sample published in book. Charles was a member of several prominant artist associations and won an honorable mention at the Paris Salon of 1893. He is said in Davenport to paint landscapes and wagons. I found this in Kennebunk Maine and the artist is said to have lived in NH and Brookline Mass. Charles may have a distant connection to the Bush family who's summer home is on Walker's point in Kennebunkport. I compare this fine art to the famous work "Dusk" by Maxfield Parrish, one of the New Britian Museum of Art's proudest exhibits. Very similar look and feel. Paper is unframed and in very good condition. Minor bend in the upper right corner. Buyer pays $10.00 mail.
