Q. - How much is shipping?
A. - Just enter your postcode or zipcode in at the shipping calculator and it will give you the exact cost for shipping to your area. If the shipping calculator is not working, contact me w/ your postcode.
Q. - What are the pictures painted on? What is masonite? Can you spray'em on canvas?
A. - They are painted on 1/8 inch hardboard masonite (like peg board w/ out the holes)...and no I can't spray on canvas, I'm an artist and canvas is not my medium.
Q. - Can I get custom colors to match my home?
A. - Not for the default version. If you want custom colors you have to purchase the Full Color version of the design you're interested in. To find the Full Color version, just log on to my Ebay store and type the character your looking for and "Color" in the search field.
Q. - What are the measurements of the paintings?
A. - The larger pictures are exactly 19 inches by 20 inches and the smaller picture is 9 1/2 inches by 20 inches.
Q. - Do they come ready to hang? How do I hang them? Are they framed?
A. - No they don't come ready to hang. There are many ways to hang them. I think the best way is to purchase 1/8" clear mirror hangers, one for each corner of each picture. You can find these at any hardware store. They're very inexpensive and look nice and do the job perfectly. No they are not framed, in fact I think they look better not framed.
Q. - Can I combine shipping if I order more than one?
A. - Yes, I will ship your pictures together as long as they are purchased within the time that I'll be sending out your first pictures, and I will give you a discount off of shipping for each additional picture.
Q. - How long until I get my pictures?
A. - I'm crankin'em out as fast as I possibly can. I truly try to get them out to you within a week after you winning the auction, but during busy weeks, it can take up to 4-6 weeks. I will keep you informed via email. As soon as your pictures are shipped I will email you the tracking #....So please don't email me for your tracking #. I will email it to you, so be sure that you're Ebay account is updated w/ the correct email correspondance.
Q. - How is the price of shipping calculated. Why does it cost this much?
A. - You are paying for S/H which is "Shipping & Handling". The cost is calculated by the weight of the package, which is between 8-10 lbs. The S/H includes that calculated weight price, the box it is shipped in and the shipping label.
Q. - Do you do custom work (e.g. pictures of my family or band)?
A. - Absolutely. Costs much more, usually in the range of two-hundred and fifty $. Let me know what you want and provide me w/ pictures and I'll come up w/ a mock up of the design, then post an auction for you.
Q. - Do you take suggestions?
A. - Yes, let me know what you'd like to see and if it's something I'm in to, chances are, I'll design one.
Q. - Are they really signed by the artist?
A. - They're signed by the artist, Iosua Tai Taeoalii, not the artist that it's the picture of.
Q. - What does the series mean, what are the other series?
A. - Each series has a limited amount to be sprayed. I'll be spraying 100 of the 20 Series, and 50 of the 24 and 30 Series. Once I've sprayed the max limit, the design is thrown out.
Q. - What's the difference between the default and Full Color versions?
A. - The default version of the design is exactly that. The default colors are Fossil Tan and Black. They are sprayed w/ out colored backgrounds. Instead of a colored background, the natural wood color is used as the background color. The Full Color version has colored backgrounds and when purchasing the Full Color version you can request custom colors to whatever your preference.
Q. - Can I just order a single picture from the set of three?
A. - Yes, you can. But I don't prefer it. If you want a single, log on to my Ebay store and search "Single". A link to purchase a single picture will appear. Use that link to purchase, and be sure to let me know exactly what picture you want and what colors. Otherwise you'll receive the default color.
Q. - Can you ship to my country?
A. - I'll ship'em anywhere as long as you're aware that you'll be paying for the shipping.
Q. - Can you ship my pictures using a different method of shipping to save me money?
A. - No. The post office picks my orders up from me directly and it's too much of a pain to change things around. Sorry. I use USPS because their rates are unbeatable. Trust me, the savings are huge.
Q. - This is a gift for a friend, can you leave a special note for her?
A. - I usually will, but sometimes I get so busy, I forget to put in the note.
Q. - Can you give me a discount if I order more than one?
A. - Yes, I like to give discounts to buyers of 3 or more pictures. Just contact me and I'll let ya know what kind of discount I can give you.
Q. - Why haven't you responded to my emails?
A. - I respond to every single email that I get within 2-3 days. Check your junkmail or spam mail. My emails sometimes end up there.
Q. - What payment methods do you accept?
A. - I prefer PayPal, but you can send a check or money order.
Q. - Are all the pictures signed and numbered?
A. - No, just the picture on the right is signed and numbered.
Q. - Is the auction for all 3 paintings?
A. - Yes, all 3. Heck of a deal, isn't it.
Q. - Just checking the status of my paintings?
A. - About 35% of my time is spent on answering these kind of emails. That's 35% of my time that I'm not painting. Which makes the status of your pictures pushed back even further. You will receive your pictures. I send them in order that they are purchased. I also purchase online and know what it's like to be waiting for a purchase, so I sympathize, but please understand that art takes time. I email you when I receive your payment and when your pictures have been shipped w/ the tracking #.
Q. - My pictures arrived damaged. Now what?
A. - Just contact me. If they were damaged during shipping, be prepared for me to ask you to send the damaged pictures back to me and I'll send you a replacement, no charge, once they arrive and I'll reimburse you for the shipping. Post office employees are like anybody else, sometimes they take good care of the packages, other times they can be negligent. But the risk vs. the savings are worth it. This is also the reason I suggest paying for the insurance.
