OIL PAINTING FRAMED BELGIAN MARRIAGE PROPOSAL C. PILAT

Belgian framed oil painting, oil on canvas tacked to a wood chassis, depicting a young couple reaching across a fence. By Belgian artist C. PILET. Pilat was a little-known student of the famous Paul Daxhelet , and worked primarily during the early to mid XXth Century in the Liege region of Belgium. This painting was painted between 1945 and 1950, is signed PILET in charcoal crayon on the back on the wood chassis, and was found at the artist's atalier in Belgium. Framed in a wood gessoed frame. Framed size is 17.5 inches x 23.5 inches. Painting size is 15.75 inches x 19.75 inches. Charming and rare subject matter, at a very reasonable price.

CONDITION: This painting is made of matter and it is OLD; it is NOT a new piece. There are some signs of age and usage, including but not limited to minor aging of the wood chassis. The condition is good, there isn't anything obviously wrong with it, and the condition is exactly as shown in the photos; please look at all the photos carefully and read this description carefully.
