This original painting on Crescent board was used to illustrate Brown and Bigelow's CORN SQUEEZINS calendar line from the 1970's through the 1980's. The artist, Lloyd Rognan (1923 - 2005) studied in France after WWII and worked all of his life as an illustrator of Children's Books, Magazines, Calendars, Pulp Fiction Magazines, Science Fiction Magazines, and untold other media. His work is still being discovered. Rognan is a well known and widely listed artist. The caption of this work reads "Th' critics say there was lots of applause, and that the audience gave... a standing ovulation.". The image size of this painting is 9 1/2" tall by 13 1/4" wide. Board size is 15" tall by 18 1/2" wide. It is signed in the lower right. It is in good condition with strong color. Shipping cost will be $8.00 priority mail in the U.S.A. . Insurance is optional.
