This nice watercolor painting by the Cusco-based artist, Alex Anahua Quatunta, presents a view of Cuesta de San Blas (San Blas Incline). This is the neighborhood of craftspeople in Cusco, the ancient Incan capital, now a modern Peruvian city. The buildings date from the Spanish colonial period. The women walking up the steps are dressed in the Andean peasant style. The three llamas in the foreground carry packs called costados.

The painting measures 25 x 35 cm (about 10 x 14 in.). It is signed by Anahua Quatunta. We purchased from him in Cusco in May, 2005, for selling on eBay, and have never displayed it. 5600

Shipping and handling: The painting will be shipped unframed from Peru in a cardboard tube via Federal Express, with buyer responsible for auctional shipping and insurance costs and any duty payable on entry into the country of destination. The customs declaration will be filled out as "merchandise" with the value as the price paid for the painting. There is no additional handling charge. We cannot determine shipping costs until we know where the painting is to be sent. Please query us before making payment so that we can make the appropriate calculation.
Insurance: We insure against breakage and loss for $1 per $50 of coverage for U.S. and $1.25 per $50 for international shipments. Insurance is required on select items and on all international shipments over $50, otherwise optional. In the event of mishap, we will either replace item or items or refund their price in full.
Payment: Payment must be in U.S. currency. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express credit cards via PayPal..Overseas buyers should pay by credit card through PayPal. Please notify us if you wish to pay into escrow so that we can make appropriate arrangements.
