Do you remember taking off two socks & putting them both into the washer together?  Then, mysteriously you only had one sock later when you were folding them to put away the same pair you had worn?  Interesting how that happens to people everywhere, but it is just one of those unsolved mysteries.  Well, if you look close, I believe a few of those single socks appeared in this painting.
