~About Us ~
We live here along the very beautiful southern coast of Maine. The winters are a bit long and dark but summer and fall always rewards us generally very well. If you get a chance to come to Maine, please do and we agree that you will be happy that you did. We have been in the antique & collecting world for approx 10 years. As you see above we have a range of options for our customers both online & in shop. Please rest a sure that if we label an item antique it is, a vintage item is vintage, a collectible item is “just that” collectible. Therefore, in our description section above, we attempt very much to give you the same information you would have access to if you came into the shop. RE: age, condition, style, etc. Any additional questions please always feel free to contact us!
~PAYMENT~
We prefer payment within 3 days of purchase, either by Paypal or call us at 207-351-5366 to make credit card phone payment. If we are busy with a customer at the shop, please leave voice mail & we will be happy to call you back. We also take debit cards. However, we are happy to have you mail us payment as well, with the understanding that the item(s) will not be shipped until check (if personal) has cleared. Please contact either by email or call us to let us know that you are mailing payment. Thanks!
~ Insurance ~
Insurance works in favor of your best interest & purchase. Basically, if anything happen to the item in shipping, handling and/or delivery, you will get a complete refund of your money that would otherwise be loss.
The only exception of this is Greyhound. They will only pay a total of 300.00 insurance. If you're total cost is $300 or less they cover all your cost. However, if your item is $301 or higher the total coverage is for $300.00 only. However, we generally never ship anything over $300 by Greyhound. It generally is either Freight, UPS or if high valued small item by USPS.
~ Taxes ~
Sales Tax of 5% will be added to purchases, due to Maine state law. The only way around not paying taxes is if you have a 'Valid Resale Certificate” proofing that you are exempted from paying Taxes. Or if you are a non-profit group, again we will need a “Valid Non-profit certificate” proof of your tax exempt. Thank you!
~ Returns ~
The original buyer has a right to view the purchase item & return it to seller up to 72 hours after delivery. The item needs to be return to the seller in the same condition that it was purchased, at the buyer's risk, cost & expense within 3-5 business days. Refund will be issue after return of item. This policy is an Ebay policy. However, the buyer can not return item to seller if item is damaged during shipping. The buyer needs to contact the shipping company and/or service and resolve this matter with them, not seller (us). Bring us to the IMPORTANCE of “Purchasing Insurance.” ~ Buyers Please! However, this does not mean that we do not want to know that the shipping service error, we do!
~Legal Responsibility ~
We are sorry that this section even has to be put in the description section. However, we have been a target of some online attacks & threats. The main suppose of Ebay's system is not to be taken lightly, if a seller or buyer does something that makes us unhappy, it is our responsibility to contact them & attempt to work out the issue. It is surely unfair to never let them know what the problem/issues were. We truly feel it is unfair for this to happen to either the buyer or seller.
We work very hard to be sure our customer(s) are happy & if not, we very freely offer part to full refunds. We truly realize that being a buyer on Ebay is difficult sometimes, because ~ lets face it, you the buyer are unable to touch, feel, smell it, etc. And sometimes it is not want you thought it was. That is okay! Return & refund, that is how we work or in some cases we offer part refunds, because the buyer may want to keep the item but wants only part of a refund, for many reasons.
We know the majority of us (buyers/sellers) are doing everything in our power to make Ebay a nice place to shop & do business. Sadly, it only takes a few to make the soup go very wrong. Bottom-line sadly is if we have to protect ourselves from online threats & attacks, we will. I think we all understand the difference between the proper negative and/or positive feedback system to outright acts of threats, attacks, etc..
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
