On the night of 9-11-2002, almost all the lights in Lower Manhattan's Financial District were left on. Two powerful beams of blue light pointing straight into the dark sky were also turned on for the first time.
This was the first "Tibute in Light" at Ground Zero. The megawatt light beams, of course, symbolized the fallen Twin Towers. They were visible up to 50 miles away, just as the buildings themselves had been.
A historic event, commemorated on this superb frameable 8" x 10" photographic print.
