1) POSTAGE: USPS Postage rates quoted are based on most affordable actual shipping costs as estimated prior to sale, based on the weight and size of the purchase. In the USA: Qualifying books will ship via media mail. Small, light items will ship via First Class Mail when possible, otherwise via priority mail. Heavier items will ship via parcel post when possible, unless buyer requests faster, costlier priority mail. All shipments will include a delivery confirmation fee (currently 18¢ on first class, media mail, and parcel post shipments as of 6-1-08, free on priority mail). International: shipped via USPS least expensive method, as of 6-1-08 limited to either International First Class Mail or International Priority Mail, based on weight and size of package.
2) CHECKOUT: Please don't leave out or adjust any sales tax or postage costs. Incorrect payments will simply be returned for re-submittal.
3) INSURANCE: Low-cost Upic International and Domestic Insurance is available and recommended. (THE INSURANCE RATE THAT EBAY CALCULATES IN THIS LISTING AS OF 6-1-08 IS THE US POSTAL SERVICE RATE -- NOT UPIC'S. UPIC RATES ARE MUCH LOWER, AND AFTER THE SALE I WILL EDIT YOUR INVOICE TO REFLECT THE LOWER RATES.) If you choose not to buy insurance, you accept full responsibility and agree not to initiate any actions or chargebacks through paypal or otherwise in the event that your purchase is damaged or lost in the mail. This is a legally binding provision of this seller's terms, and your bid indicates your acceptance of these terms.
4) SALES TAX: All items shipped to addresses within New York State must include applicable sales tax or completed resale certificate with payment (unless I have it on file already from a previous sale), no exceptions. Once I have your tax form filed, I will never ask for it again. As a convenience to qualified buyers, I will provide you with a link in your emailed invoice to a tax form which can be filled out and mailed (or emailed via pdf) to me.
5) INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: All mailed payments to be made in U.S. Funds only (checks or money orders must be drawn on U.S. Banks only). Canadian POSTAL money orders are currently acceptable, if made out in US DOLLARS - NOT CANADIAN DOLLARS.
6) MULTIPLE PURCHASES, UNDER- AND OVER-PAYMENTS: Multiple purchases made withing 24 hours will be combined in the same package at the actual postage rate based on size and weight. Please wait for a combined purchase invoice to be sent before paying. Any overpayments received via paypal will be refunded to the buyer's paypal account. Underpayments are returned to the buyer for re-submittal.
7) Payment is expected within 10 days of my invoice to you. I will ship within two business days of your payment's clearance.
