1887 BASEBALL GAME VINTAGE POSTER SPORTS PRINT

Here is a new print of a magnificent lithograph that captures the excitement of late 1800s baseball game .  Dramatic moments in sport are those when the game truly comes alive and the score is uncertain.  Such a moment was captured in the aquarelle (or watercolor) of a game just seconds after the batter hit to left field and the game was on.  Flags are flying and the hills are crowded with spectators as the left fielder moves to make the catch.   

While we will never know the outcome; we revel in the moment anyway.  The unknown artist captured for eternity the moment of sports suspense.

The L. Prang Company did the original lithograph on which this print is based.  Prang is recognized as one of the great lithographic printers in the United States and produced many stock posters that could be used for a variety of purposes.

This exciting poster will look great in a home or sports bar or as a decoration in a teenager's room.
