G. Harvey’s skill in painting light, especially in wet, slushy, or snowy conditions, makes the warm connections between the people in his pieces all the more sentient. Even the horses pulling carriages seem to share compassion. We are drawn to hearth and home through his skill with these images.
Harvey is a world-known American impressionist whose paintings and sculptures are prized in the collections of major museums, corporations, American presidents, governors, and persons of taste and industry around the globe. His list of awards and commissions for special and commemorative pieces and series is long and includes pieces for the Smithsonian.
Texan by birth, his grandfather was a trail boss; so G. Harvey’s affection and respect for the common person and all aspects of the American experience and dream are deep and true—and no doubt one reason his art warmly grows on you. He authentically inspires by showing what is important, the effort it takes, and how it feels to share the realization of it. His shows have a tradition for being sold out, with waiting lists, despite economic cycles.

Personal checks are accepted but we must wait for them to clear before shipping.
This is an estate piece from the estate of an art dealer and was framed by the art dealer. It looks very well done but we have not taken it apart to inspect so it will be sold "as is." It was done for the dealer herself to keep and we do not know what she did with the certificate, though there are certificates for the other pieces she intended to sell. We still hope to find it, but the price has been adjusted to reflect the fact that it is both double-matted and framed on the plus side and sold without a certificate on the minus side.
