During the early 1900s in Paris, the Italian painter and sculptor Amedeo Modigliani, b. July 12, 1884, d. Jan. 24, 1920, developed a unique style. Today his graceful portraits and lush nudes at once evoke his name, but during his brief career few apart from his fellow artists were aware of his gifts. Modigliani had to struggle against poverty and chronic ill health, dying of tuberculosis and excessive drugs and drinking at the young age of 35.
PRINT QUALITY:
Our prints are on 12" X 18" paper size using 80 lb - 100 lb heavy fine art paper. This is thick, stiff art paper. We don't distort the image when printing, which means sometimes there is white space around the edges. The image doesn't usually fill the entire 12" X 18" paper. For this reason it will usually need to be matted for putting the print into a standard size frame like 16" X 20". Our prints are printed on a very high-end Konica wide-media laser printer and we only use archival inks that will last for 100 years or longer.
FREE IMAGE OF THE ART:
If you request it, I will also include with any of my prints the exact same HIGH RESOLUTION image used to create the print. This is a high resolution JPG image that you can use to make your own prints or take to any print service and have printed up to a 24" X 30" print, poster or Giclee to canvas. The image will be sent either as an attachment in an e-mail to you or as a download from my image hosting website. It's a copyright-free image for you to keep, however you must request it.
