This auction is for a beautiful hand carved wooden statue depicting an expecting couple. It shows a pregnant mother-to-be in an embrace with her man. It is carved from a solid block of tropical suar wood, and was hand made on the island of Bali. Each piece stands about 12 inches tall. The statue is expertly rendered in beautiful flowing lines from a solid piece of tropical suar wood. Suar wood is renowned for its beautiful color and grain pattern, and also for its high resistance to cracking. Please click on a few of the pictures to see the full sized images.
I have several of these sculptures to sell, and I am using the same pictures for each auction to save time. So the one you get may not be one of the exact ones shown. However, they are all made by the same woodcarvers guild in Bali, and all are of the same design and quality. There are slight differences in appearance on each piece, as is the nature of hand-carved artworks. I have shown pictures of several of the statues side by side, so you can see the differences and similarities. Please see the pictures listed below. Shipping: $9.95 for very carefully packed, insured shipping to street addresses within the continental U.S. Most shipments are via Fedex Ground. Higher rates apply to AK, HI, and outlying U.S. territories. (Sorry, but due to a 300% increase in shipping rates for packages over a certain size by the US Postal Service, I no longer ship to PO boxes or APO's.)

I accept Paypal, money orders, and checks. (Paypal preferred, money order is second choice.) Instant payments by Paypal or money order are processed immediately upon receipt. Paypal e-checks are processed after the payment clears, usually about 3 to 5 days. Personal checks (U.S. only) are also accepted, but take about 10 days to clear before item will be shipped. Most items ship within 3 to 5 business days after payment clears. All items are packed with great care, and insurance is included in the shipping price. I use Fedex Home Delivery for the vast majority of shipments. In most cases, they will leave the package at your door. If you do NOT want the package left at your door, you must inform me when you send payment! I can arrange for "signature required" delivery for an additional $2 charge. Shipping is to U.S. destinations only. I do not ship to Canada. I am sometimes asked to make special delivery arrangements: please understand that any procedure outside of my established routine may may result in a delay.

Some of my items offer a "Best Offer" option. This allows you to make me an offer below the set price of an item. I will often accept a best offer IF: 1.) it is reasonable, 2.)
