This auction is for an abstract wooden statue depicting a couple in an embrace. It was hand carved in Bali from a single piece of tropical suar wood. These statues stand about 11.5 to 12.5 inches tall. Each one differs slightly in appearance, because each is hand carved, and therefore unique. I have included pictures of several of these pieces below. Please scroll down for additional pictures. Already imported, ships from U.S.

These lovely statues have been expertly carved by the master woodcarvers of Bali. They are made of suar wood, a sustainable tropical hardwood which is renowned both for its beauty and for its superior resistance to cracking. The wood has been stained, oiled, and hand rubbed to a smooth finish. Some pieces display the two-tone appearance that is common in suar, with a streak of lighter wood running through.

NOTE: I have several of these to sell, and I am using the same pictures for each auction to save time. So the one you get may not be one of the exact ones shown. However, I have provided pictures of several of them, so you can see how they differ slightly in appearance, but how each piece is unique. They all come from the same carvers guild, so the one you get will be of equal quality to what you see here. I will never intentionally send a sub-quality piece. Satisfaction is guaranteed, or return for your money back.

Disclaimer: The position of this couple may be suggestive, but, as you can see, the couple is merely embracing and kissing, and no body parts are represented in an explicit manner. These statues are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or other visible damage. They are a fine example of the creativity and skill of the Balinese woodcarvers.

Shipping: $9.95 for very carefully packed, insured shipping to street addresses within the continental U.S. Higher rates apply for AK and HI. Sorry, but I can no longer ship to P.O. boxes or APO's.

Payment Details

I accept Paypal, money orders, and checks. (Paypal preferred, money order is second choice.) Instant payments by Paypal or money order are processed immediately upon receipt. Paypal e-checks are processed after the payment clears, usually about 3 to 5 days. Personal checks (U.S. only) are also accepted, but take about 10 days to clear before item will be shipped. Please make payments within 7 days of auction close, or at least contact me. If I do not hear from you within 10 days, the transaction will be considered null and void, and the item may be relisted or sold to the next highest bidder. If you are sending payment through the mail, PLEASE include your name, shipping address, item number, and name of item(s) that you are paying for. A printout of the invoice should be sufficient. Shipping Details

Most items ship within 3 to 5 business days after payment clears. All items are packed with great care, and insurance is included in the shipping price. I use Fedex Home Delivery for the vast majority of shipments. In most cases, they will leave the package at your door. If you do NOT want the package left at your door, you must inform me when you send payment! I can arrange for "signature required" delivery for an additional $2 charge. Shipping is to U.S. destinations only. I do not ship to Canada. I am sometimes asked to make special delivery arrangements: please understand that any procedure outside of my established routine may may result in a delay.

Please email me within 14 days of purchase, BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK, and I will do my very best to remedy the situation. Some of my items offer a "Best Offer" option. This allows you to make me an offer below the set price of an item. I will often accept a best offer IF: 1.) it is reasonable, 2.) Also please understand that once an item reaches its end time, all offers automatically expire. So please give me a reasonable amount of time to respond to an offer (at least 24 hours.) Communications: Some spam-blocking software will block messages from ebay members. If you complete a transaction with me and do not hear from me, please check your junk mail folder. Shipping confirmation emails and tracking numbers are sent from an automated service, and they also often end up in peoples' junk mail folders. Also, please make sure that the email address you have registered with ebay is up to date.

Combined Shipping Discount

I will gladly combine multiple orders for discounted shipping charges for any items won within a 7 day period. To be eligible, please notify me via email that you would like to combine purchases, so that I know you are still shopping. (If you want the discount, I need to know before I ship!)
