I work directly with the Moscow artists; one of them is my cousin. Some of the boxes are absolutely exclusive – made by my special order (e.g. the boxes of giraffe, panda, elephant design). You will find no better deal on ebay or any internet sites!
There are a lot of fake and very poor quality products from Russia on ebay – beware of the scam.
THIS ART IS RARE IN RUSSIA! The carved boxes are not as common as traditional lacquered boxes, but the unique carving is becoming more and more popular – people appreciate the artwork of the Russian craftsmen.
