About This Piece:
This three piece (triptych) original artwork was created by Jane Petitjean, a popular Toledo, OH artist. Each canvas measures 20" wide by 30" in height for a combined overall area of 5 feet by 2 and a half feet!! It is very large and very colorful. It is signed on both the front and back and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. This work is currently on exhibit at the Collingwood Arts Center, where the Jane is a resident artist. Her work is also sold in galleries in the NW Ohio region.

This beautiful original artwork is painted on a custom made, gallery wrapped canvas with 1.5" finished sides. (No frame needed!) It was created entirely by Jane Petitjean in her Old West End Studio. No others exist like it! It is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL! NOT A PRINT!!! Included with the painting is an official Certificate of Authenticity signed by Ms. Petitjean. The painting is signed and dated front and back. A great value!

What is my creative motivation??? I create art because because I am compelled to!!! I don't have a magic formula for why I create. I am a rather eccentric and chaotic person and cannot pin down any qualified reasons for being an artist. Let's get real here: I can't keep track of my car keys let alone figure out where I put the car...how do you expect me to come up with a good reason for being what I am: AN ARTIST!!!

I have a dregree from a renowned art college. BIG DEAL!!! It just means I took the time and had the money. Anyone can do it. Am I talented? You be the judge. I think I am just &*%$ crazy!

Oh, yeah, I live in a house in an old historic neighborhood in Toledo. (How artsy is that!) MY delightful bohemian studio is a wreck, with empty tubes of paint, old scraps of canvas, brushes strewn everywhere, dog toys hidden behind paintings and at any given time a cat or two playing with dust bunnies in the corner because I am so oblivious to the chaos I never swept them up. And yet I know where everything is! Ah yes the life of the artist! Well, at least it keeps my anal retentive husband away!!!

I sell my artwork because it is what I do as a profession. I take my art career very seriously and I am developing as a gallery artist as well as an "online artist." I have gained recognition in the NW Ohio area and am working dilligently to aquire new recognition in a wider base. This is what makes my art collectible as a serious investment. Art can be a terrific investment. WHY? Because it appreciates in value. But who's kidding who here? My art isn't worth anything as an investment unless YOU like to look at it! Any good financial advisor or serious and experienced art collector will tell you the same thing!!!

My advise to anyone looking at any art is that you should ONLY purchase art that you really love to look at!!!

And for those of you looking for cheap, cheap art: NOT HERE!!! My lowest prices are the minimum bid prices. I NEVER NEVER NEVER do a "BEST OFFER" so please don't ask!!! Besides, shame on you for asking ANY artist that!!! we sell our work cheap enough as it is!!!
