This is an impressionist landscape painting, done en plein air and alla prima, showing a view of Eucalyptus trees and wildflowers growing on hills in central California.
The original painting has thick impasto and was done with a palette knife. It is signed, and is oil on archival canvas board . The image measures 11 x 14 inches and is not framed. There is no reserve on this painting.
Lynne French is a contemporary artist who trained at Chouinard Art Institute, where she studied with both Millard Sheets and Phil Dike. She is collected throughout the United States in both private and public collections, has done extensive commercial work and numerous commission pieces.
