The simplicity of white boards and porcelain take on new meaning when viewed as art.
I am very pleased to be able to offer some of my favorite paintings as a fine art prints on canvas. This 8x10” print of my 2004 acrylic painting has been reproduced on archival quality canvas for prints, using Epson DuraBrite® inks. I have
hand-detailed this print and signed it, resulting in a superior quality image.
“Bead Board and Bisque” depicts a vintage-style sink and fixtures. Extreme close-ups shown from unexpected angles appeal to me when painting. The shape of an object becomes more important. While this view obviously shows a white sink against a backdrop of white bead board wall, the only true white paint used while I was painting the original is the very lightest highlights of reflection. The other “whites” you see are blends of yellow ochre, gray, parchment and raw umber.
With my paintbrush I have retouched this print, adding some acrylic washes and white highlights, and finished the piece with a UV spray lacquer to protect it from dust and humidity.
“Bead Board and Bisque” comes matted in a white, acid free board. Overall, this piece measures 11x14” and will fit easily into a ready-made frame. The fade and light resistance of Epson DuraBrite® inks is rated up to 80 years. As with all fine art, for maximum longevity this piece should be displayed under glass and out of direct sunlight.
Although the original canvas sold for $150.oo, you can now own a print with the look and feel of an original!
