Why Canvas Paper and not Stretched Canvas? I have started using canvas paper recently and find it much easier to work with than stretched canvas. It gives me a smoother texture to paint on so that I can achieve better photo-realistic results. It is also easy to frame, simply put it in a standard sized photo frame behind glass like you would a watercolor and it will look great. You can buy a photo frame just about anywhere and no special framing requirements are necessary unless you want something fancy. The quick-drying water-soluble oil paints I use will be sprayed with a sealant and they will not be damaged by the glass.
