Set of 4 cards made by troubled youth in Kenya. Local artist Moses Karibu painted the original designs for each of the batiks for the local Catholic Parish. He then trained the children to carefully copy the designs using cloth, pens, wax and dyes. Each batik is individually drawn waxed and dyed. The money they earn is used to help support their families.
The card set is made from folded card stock with cloth batiks on the front. The cards depict animals in Kenya. The cards measure 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. You will receive the batiked cards pictured.
