“Between the Two” (Signed)
Photographs by Todd Hido

Published by Nazraeli Press (in association with The Joy of Giving Something, Inc.), 2006.

FIRST EDITION – FIRST PRINTING
SIGNED BY THE ARTIST

Between the Two is Todd Hido’s fifth work with Nazraeli Press. As with the previous four titles, this work presents an outstanding series of images that are both haunting and strangely beautiful at the some time.

The First Edition, first printing was limited to 2,000 copies, which sold out shortly after publication. The book has black cover boards, with the title stamped on the front board and spine in white. The book has 76 pages, with 8 black and white images, and 27 four-color images.

From the publisher:
"Todd Hido's striking new monograph, Between the Two, weaves photographs of abandoned houses together with portraits of anonymous models in motel rooms that have obviously seen better days. Hido's uncanny ability to let seediness shine with an internal beauty was first displayed in book form with his 2001 monograph, House Hunting. That first monograph, as well as his follow-up book Outskirts, are now out-of-print, and highly sought-after in the rare book market. Between the Two comprises 35 photographs beautifully printed on matte art paper, and bound in an oversized format. Todd Hido's work has been widely exhibited throughout the United States and Europe, and is included in the permanent collections of such museums as the Cleveland Museum of Art; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

This outstanding hardcover title is offered in AS NEW condition, and still under Publisher’s wraps – opened only for Hido’s signature. The Trade Edition book, and this Limited Edition are both sold-out, which is consistent with all his previous works.  This terrific title is in stock and is available for immediate shipment.
