Lens Cradle 

    A common problem associated with using SLR cameras is the wear and tear caused by the weight of a large lens being supported solely by the strap on the camera body. Always dangling down awkwardly applying undue stress to the camera/lens junction. Requiring the use of your hands trying to protect and stabilize your investment. Not to mention the excess stress on your neck and shoulders.

    The Lens Cradle is designed to fit any lens with a tripod mount. It supports the camera and lens horizontally, utilizing the tripod mounting ring on the lens. Thereby, substantially reducing if not eliminating, the damage and stress that occurs to the camera body and lens mounting surfaces. (Refer to photos (#2, #3, #7) As you can see, the lens cradle gives horizontal balance and stability that a camera strap alone does not provide. You no longer need to support the weight of a large lens with your hands.

    The natural horizontal position keeps the camera poised to be ready for the next elusive shot and prevents lens creep on push pull lenses.

    Since the lens cradle is attached to the lens, not the camera, this allows you to maneuver with the lens rotated and locked at 90 degrees for portrait shooting. (Refer to photos #2, #6 )

    It is ideal for safety while detaching and changing lenses without fear of dropping /misplacing your lens. A second Lens Cradle allows you to safely carry an alternate lens. And while exchanging lenses you don't have to locate a safe place to lay your second lens as it is secured around your neck. (Refer to photo #7)

    While taking photos the lens cradle gives you added stability and provides a comfortable hand placement on the Lens Cradle. However, it will not interfere with the functions or accessibility of the camera or lens. (Refer to photo #6)

    The Lens Cradle works great as a mini tripod as well. Perfect for stabilizing shots from the rooftop of your car, fence rails, rocks and etc.. In most cases, when setting the camera and lens down, it suspends the end of the lens and hood off of the contact surface reducing the risk of damage and contamination. (Refer to photo #1 )

    With the 1 ½ inch rosette thumb screw, the Lens Cradle is as quick and simple to mount as a tripod. It can be removed just as easy for mounting the camera and lens to a tripod or mono pod. ( Refer to photo's #8, #9 )

For optimal performance and safety we recommend leaving a strap on the camera body as well.

Lens must be equipped with a tripod collar, ring or mount for use with the Lens Cradle.
