NIKON 39mm drop-in GELATIN FILTER HOLDER for ED-IF lenses.
This is a Nikon 39mm drop-in gelatin filter holder which was used with Nikon's Nikkor ED-IF fast manual-focus long lenses such as their 300mm f2.8. I don't know which other lenses this fits (possibly the 400/f3.5, 200/f2.0, etc.) but I believe it is Nikon product no. 2443. Nikon also made one of these for their 300 AF-I and 600mm f4.0 lenses which was product no. 2470.The filter holder is in excellent condition with hardly any evidence it was ever used, but there is a small amount of loss of the thin rubber-like substance that the filter sits on underneath the metal cover (see bottom photo).
Please email me if you have any questions.Domestic shipping is $6.00 via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation, plus insurance of $2.40 for the first $100.00 and $1.10 for each additional $100.00 (Insurance for items under $50.00 is $1.70). Insurance is optional, but I will not be responsible for loss or damage to uninsured items. Shipping discounts are available for multiple purchases shipped to the same address. Visa and MasterCard are accepted through PayPal for domestic purchases. For international purchases, because of PayPal's very strict rules regarding proof-of-shipment for sellers, if you want to pay for the item using PayPal, and the item sells for less than $250.00, I can only accept a PayPal payment if you are willing to pay for USPS Express Mail International or Priority Mail International shipping. They are the only on-line-trackable shipping methods offered by our US Postal System to international destinations, and an on-line-trackable shipping method is a PayPal requirement. If the item sells for more than $250.00, then Express Mail International is the ONLY shipping option available because it is the only service that requires a signature upon delivery, and PayPal requires signature confirmation on packages worth more than $250.00.
EBay has recently made changes to their payment rules whereby "Beginning in late October [2008], sellers will no longer be allowed to offer chcks or mony orders as payment methods on eBay. Only approved electronic methods will be allowed." As a seller, I won't even be allowed to use the words "chcks" or "mony orders" in my description when spelled correctly. Currently, the words "Wstern Union," when spelled correctly, are prohibited. Obvious to everyone, eBay is trying to force all buyers into paying for their items by using only PayPal (an eBay-owned company). I accept PayPal, and encourage you to use it, but I will not force you to use it. I want my customers to choose the payment method that THEY feel the most comfortable with. EBay's rules also state that if you, the buyer, desire to pay for your item using a method other than PayPal, that I can accept your payment without being in violation of any of eBay's rules. If this seems confusing and contradictory, it is, and we only have eBay to blame. So, as confusing as eBay's rules now are, if you, the customer, wish to pay for your item using a method other than PayPal, you may do so. I am not soliciting you to do so; I'm only informing you — that you have the choice to do so, and that by making that choice you are not in violation of any of eBay's rules, despite the deceptive and threatening messages eBay may send you.
