This is another wonderful figure composition by Harry Carmean of three figures in a landscape. It was done in 1957, is signed and is in excellent condition. It has been cleaned and relined by a very good art restorer. The dimensions are 25 x 30". The brush strokes are bold and exuberant, and the composition is right out of Baroque times. Although on screen the painting looks very nice, when you are in the presence of this work, you can absolutely feel its power which is the one thing that is not conveyed in a photograph. It is a bit like seeing Jackson Pollock or a Rothko on a website vs seeing one of their paintings in reality....there is a big difference! And so it is with a Carmean....
