This is a painting of a pastoral scene by Harry Carmean that truly looks as though it could have been done by Renoir. It is gorgeous when seen in reality. It is on 24 x 20" canvas, is signed and and was done in 1958. It is in good condition overall. This painting marks the transition by Carmean from darker painterly paintings to a smoother manner of working. By 1960 his style became more refined with an overall more realistic appearance - and it was at this time that he began his well known series of paintings depicting the family.
