Things to consider when buying a down comforter.

Fill Power: This comforter has a fill power of 750+. Fill power refers to how down clusters are measured & the quality of the down. Fill power measures the amount of space in one ounce of down. To measure the amount of space in down, you would take one ounce of down & compress it. When released, the down expands & fills up a certain amount of space. The amount of space it fills up is measured in cubic inches. So a down comforter advertised as 575 fill power means that each ounce of down fills 575 cubic inches of space. The higher the number of fill power the higher the quality of the down. This comforter has an industry-leading 750 fill power white goose down filling. Down is the light fluffy coating that protects birds from the elements. Feathers have quills & are two dimensional. Down on the other hand, is three dimensional & has no quills The higher the fill power the greater the loft (fluffier).

Hypoallergenic: The down is washed and sterilized to remove naturally occurring dirt, dust, and dander normally found in down products. Most people are not allergic to down, but rather, to the impurities within the down.

Baffle Box Construction: This type of construction has thin fabric wall channels that connect the comforter top and bottom. This allows for the down to be held in place allowing for maximum loft, less shifting and the elimination of cold spots for greater warmth.
- Thread Count: This comforter has a 400 thread count,100% cotton, down proof cover. Thread count refers to how many threads per square inch of fabric. The higher the thread count the softer and more satiny the comforter will be and assuring that your comforter will serve you well for many years.
