We ship within 72 hours of receiving an automated or money order-type payment – or on day 15 for personal checks.
We take into account the actual cost of shipping, based upon your zip code when accepting offers.
Parcel Post versus Priority Mail:
While we have been quoted 4 to 7 days by USPS for anything outside of a 500-mile radius from our warehouse – we have found that items going to California, as parcel post, may take 3 weeks to arrive – to Texas, 2 weeks. Please bear in mind that we cannot guarantee the length of time it will take a package to arrive to you that is sent as parcel post.
Overnight shipping is available for an extra fee - contact us PRIOR to paying.
Handling costs:
We get many questions regarding handling costs. Handling costs include:
· The cost of the box – on average $1.00 - $1.50. For longer items – $3.00.
· The cost of the paper/peanuts/bubble used to wrap your item – on average $0.50 - $1.00
· The cost of the tape – $0.10 - $0.25
· The cost of the ink and paper for the box inclusions and labels – $0.15 - $0.25
· The cost of warehousing the item $1.50
· The cost of our staff per item $2.50
This totals to $5.75 - $7.00 per item.
And for the heavier and larger pieces – the totals are $10.00 - $15.00
Final note regarding costs:
For those of you whom are curious, here are the basic costs associated with eBay and PayPal:
· $0.01 - $24.99
o An item selling at $20.00 in auction: To list $0.55, once sold, an additional $1.75, to PayPal $1.17 = $3.47
o An item selling at $20.00 from the store: To list $0.03 (per month), once sold $2.40, to PayPal $1.17 = $3.60 (assuming it was in the store only one month)
· $49.99 - $99.99
o An item selling at $80.00 in auction: To list $2.00, once sold $3.68, to PayPal $2.91 = $8.58
o An item selling at $80.00 from the store: To list $0.5 (per month), once sold $7.40, to PayPal $2.91 = $10.36 (assuming it was in the store only one month)
If you have more than one picture – or a Buy It Now price – there are more fees. Items over $99.99 are even more costly.
PayPal even takes a percentage of the shipping, handling and shipping insurance!
Refunds and Returns:
If the item received is substantially different from the description in the auction listing or in the online store listing we will honor a return and refund. Returns/refunds are not offered for any other reasons. You must email us with a description within 3 days of receipt – day one is the day of receipt of the package. You must receive authorization to return the item. Returned items must be received within 7 days in the SAME CONDITION that they were shipped, in the original packaging with the original manufacturer's packaging – no exceptions. Once received, we will refund your purchase price as long as the item is in the same condition as when we shipped it. Return shipping and insurance are the buyer's responsibility.
