What is a flowering tea?
Flowering Teas are hand picked and sewn premium tea leaves tied with cotton thread into various shapes and bundles When steeped in hot water, the leaves slowly expand and the flowers delicately unravel into a bouquet of breathtaking shapes. The tea liquor releases a myriad of flavors from sweet and subtle to rich and bold. Hand-crafted premium white, green and black teas are included in the Flowering Tea line. Numi offers a glass teapot that shows off the blooming petals.

STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR FLOWERING TEAS:
The Beginning: Place one Flowering Tea in a durable glass teapot. (Remove strainer)
The Suspense: Bring water to a boil and pour over tea. Behold the magic of the unfolding tea leaves. Allow to steep 2-3 minutes, to desired strength.
The Pleasure: After enjoying the first pot, a Flowering Tea may be re-steeped 2-3 more times.
FOR LOOSE LEAF TEAS & TEASANS
Pre-warm teapot and cup with hot water. This helps the tea from scorching.
Use fresh spring or filtered water for best tea tasting results.
Follow steeping guidelines below for each Tea or Herbal Teasan.
When steeped in hot water, tea leaves release their taste, color, then tannin. Tannin is a natural component of tea. When released, tannin makes tea taste bitter or astringent. Tannin is released from steeped tea leaves after 2-4 minutes if the tea is green; after 5-7 minutes if tea is white; after 3-5 minutes if tea is black or oolong. Tea should be decanted into teacups after appropriate time so that leaves do not remain in hot water and tannin does not affect the fine taste of tea. Herbal Teasans contain no tannin and may remain in hot water without their taste being altered.

We try very hard to make sure each of our items are accurately pictured and described. If you think we have failed at the description for a particular item, PLEASE let us know.
If we have, indeed, failed to give an accurate description of an item you have purchased and received, Please let us know, we can offer a trade, credit, return or refund depending on the circumstances.
If you receive an item that you just don't want, you may return it for a refund (herbs, oils, soaps, salts, lotions and handmade items excluded). We do not refund shipping.
