The toy chest lies flush to the floor, and has thoughtfully placed air spaces on both sides, as well as on the front panel. The safety-conscious lid is rounded and has tension hinges that keep it from shutting suddenly on tiny fingers. The entire Toy box is painted with interior satin enamel then polyurethane with 3 coats.
