SPINDLE COFFEE TABLE
IT IS THE RICH RED / BROWN MISSION COLOR
THAT IS A FAVORITE AMONG ARTS & CRAFTS COLLECTORS.
The table top is 20" X 41", and it is 17.5" tall.
THIS TABLE IS A BIT SMALLER AND MORE COMPACT THAN OUR USUAL. PERFECT FOR APARTMENT OR DEN.
THE QUARTERSAWN ON THIS TABLE IS BEAUTIFUL. THE GRAIN IS WELL MATCHED. THE FINEST CONSTRUCTION AND FINISH ARE EVIDENT THROUGHOUT THIS PIECE. WE HAVE SOLD HUNDREDS OF THESE TO UPSCALE GALLERIES SINCE 1987, AND OVER 50 ON EBAY, IN THREE YEARS.
BEAUTIFUL QUARTERSAWN GRAIN PATTERN THROUGHOUT.
THESE TABLES HAVE SOLD,IN SHOPS AND GALLERIES ON EITHER COAST, FOR $1450. - $1750., SINCE 1989.
Elegant,well matched, quartersawn grain.
Our finish is SECOND TO NONE...
IT IS DEEP, RICH, AND LUXURIOUS.
We wet every part, and the finished piece, with hot water many times, and sand them, before staining. This raises the grain several times, and guarantees the finish will still be as elegant in 100 years as it is now....
THE BASE IS WELL MATCHED QUARTERSAWN GRAIN.
We finish all of our work using Water Soluble Aniline Dyes for a crystal clear, deep color.Aniline dyes are known for their deep rich color, absolute clarity, and colorfastness.
These dyes are hard to master, and almost never used commercially.
Between each coat of the stain, sealer, glaze, and three coats of lacquer, we sand the piece with 320 grit for a FINISH THAT IS AS WONDERFUL TO FEEL AS IT IS TO SEE. FINALLY, We HAND RUB the entire piece with rubbing lubricant and FINE Scotchbrite pads for a JADE SMOOTH FINISH
THIS TABLE IS VERY ATTRACTIVE THROUGHOUT.
THE ANILINE DYE AND GLAZING HAVE BROUGHT OUT THE BEST IN A VERY BEAUTIFUL SET OF BOARDS. 
BRIGHT, "FLEMISH BROWN" DYE, OVER OUR RED/ORANGE MISSION BASE COLORS,THEN A VAN DYKE BROWN GLAZE, HAS PRODUCED A SOPHISTICATED,BRIGHT, BROWN/RED MISSION COLOR, AKIN TO THE "MEDIUM FUMED" OF GUSTAV STICKLEY.
THIS ONE IS VERY WELL BALANCED, WITH BEAUTIFUL QUARTERSAWN THROUGHOUT.
KEEP ANY GOOD FURNITURE OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT.....BUT A BRIGHT ROOM WILL ONLY SHOW THIS TABLE OFF....NOT WASH IT OUT.

LATELY,WE HAVE ALSO TRIED TO SAW OUR BOARDS AN EIGHTH INCH THICKER AT THE SAWMILL. AFTER WORKING THEM UP, WE STILL HAVE A TOP THAT IS OVER A FULL 1" THICK. MY FRIENDS JOKE THAT IT IS "FURNITURE BY THE POUND" FROM US. THIS TABLE WEIGHS 80+ LBS .
.....The nature of the type of DYES, and GLAZE
that we use produces a finish that emphasizes the different texture in each board, rather than attempt to make every square inch the same color. This produces color patterns that MATCH THOSE FOUND IN 100 YEAR OLD ANTIQUES.
