WOOD SECRETARY DESK with HUTCH TOP ORIGINAL DOOR

Our handcrafted wood secretary is our original design.  Now we have added a hutch top for more storage space.  It's great as a phone center, or use in the kitchen or bedroom.  The small design makes it handy in any room.  The drop down door provides convenient writing surface, with cubbies inside for mail, envelopes, stamps, whatever.  There is one shelf behind the double doors on the bottom and a roomy drawer for pencils, or phone books.  The hutch top has one drawer and one shelf behind the doors.  The overall size is 23" wide, 12" deep, and 66" high. 

We've been designing and building furniture for over 20 years.  Our furniture is all made from solid 3/4" white pine. All of our construction is glued and screwed together, with a minimum of finish nails. Exposed screw holes are recessed and plugged with matching wood. Our pieces are shipped fully assembled.  The only exception to this are pieces with hutch tops.  They are shipped in 2 boxes.  The only assembly required is to set the hutch on top of the base and screw it down. 

We use the finest finishing products. This piece is stained in Early American stain, which is a medium oil stain. Each piece will take the stain differently, bringing out the grain, knots, and swirls in the wood. We then use a spray lacquer coat, followed by 2 - 3 finish coats. Our process leaves our furniture with a fine, smooth finish and an old country look.
