The Ballast Features:
Extruded Aluminum Housing :One of our benchmark features is our extruded aluminum housing. The housing will never rust and has excellent heat dispensation qualities.
Feet
All remote ballast Sun System fixtures feature remote feet on the bottom of the ballast. This feature reduces noise and vibration and provides air-flow under the ballast.
Detachable Lamp Cord:
All our remote ballast fixtures feature a detachable lamp cord set. The lamp cord is locked into place using "donkey-ear" flaps that lock onto pins on the lamp cord. This is an added safety feature to keep the lamp cord from coming unplugged if it is bumped or kicked.
Cool Wall and Capacitor:
We developed a double heat shield component called the Cool Wall. The Cool Wall uniquely puts two barrier walls between the ballast and capacitors/ignitor and also servies as a mounting bracket for the capacitor/ignitor. It neatly slides into a grooved channel way on the inside of the aluminum extrusion. The net result of these changes is a cooler running ballast.
Power either 120 or 240 volt, comes with 120 volt power cord, 240 power cord sold separately.

Tempered glass is included with every fixture.
Rugged and durable electro-galvanized steel housing.
Socket assembly and lamp cord are built into the reflector, no wireing required.
6 inch air cooled fittings are integrated into the design of the reflector.
White powdercoating provides a rust resistant, clean appearance.
Sturdy chrome wire hangers make for easy hanging.
Manufactured to exacting standards to allow very little air leakage. Eliminates excess heat problems.
Accommodates all lamp sizes except BT-56
