Any white spots are a glare from the lighting.

More Talavera planters in my store thru the red door! I gladly combine shipping. You may want to think about gifts early as I am usually sold out come the holiday season as that is when the shops are buying all my inventory!
My items are always lead free and authentic Talavera.
These items take months to make and are fired four times. The shops I go to get new items every month and I am right there to go thru the new items.
PLEASE see my other Talavera in my ebay store thru the red door as there are too many to list them all "live". Check back often as I list new Talavera almost daily.
The nature of Talavera is to have flaws but I do my best to insure they are beautiful flaws and not chips or noticeable imperfections. As always I offer 100% money back guarantee minus shipping costs but this has never happened that a buyer wasn't happy and I pray you won't be the first!
Insurance is always required unless you tell me in writing you do not want insurance and will not hold me responsible if the post office drop kicks your item. This happens rarely but if it does they need to be the ones to pay while I find another item to replace your one of a kind broken one.
This item is here and ready to ship.
This is authentic Talavera pottery and is the ceramic ware produced in the state of Puebla , Mexico following the traditional process introduced in the 16th Century. It is a type of majolica earthenware.
It is important you know this is lead free. Please see the others in my ebay store. I gladly combine shipping on smaller items.
There are important guidelines to be considered authentic Talavera. It must be made in the designated Talavera zone of States where the characteristics are consistent with the geographical regions and have origins in Spanish majolica.
The Spaniards introduced this type of pottery but the Talavera word is used more in Mexico than in Spain. It is the oldest tin glazed ceramic in America and still being manufactured the same way as in the 16th century. The potters in Mexico have centuries of experience behind them and are able to use the abundance of quality clay in the region.
The clays used to create Talavera must be obtained from the natural deposits in this zone.
The pottery must be hand formed using clay from the natural deposits of the Talavera Zone. Molds can be used only by pressing the clay into them. A glaze is used after baking and should craze and be slightly porous. The pottery is then handpainted using only six mineral pigments. Different colors can be created by mixing these pigments.
