The Electra Silver 9400 is designed to provide the highest arrestance available for the majority of furnaces and air conditioners.  The 0.12 inch W.G. initial resistance of the Electra Silver 9400 will perform best in systems configured with 1 square foot, or more, of filter area for each ton of air conditioning.  Two layers of woven monofilament polupropylene with integral anti-microbial material provides 10 times more filtration than a disposable fiberglass filter.  The deep loading center layer of non-woven polyester allows the Electra Silver 9400 to prolong the time between washings.

Failure to properly clean the filter may lessen filter effectiveness, and as with any air filter, it is possible for an excessive dirt buildup to cause air flow resistance sufficient to damage other ventilation components. Depending on your specific situation the filter should be cleaned every 4-6 weeks. Simply remove the air filter Flush with water in opposite direction of air flow arrows then rinse other side. Rinse thoroughly to remove remaining dirt. Drain excess water and reinstall. Installation for normal household use is easily performed without professional assistance. Simply remove your old disposable air filter and replace it with your new Air-Care filter. Refer to the filter label regarding air flow direction when installing. For properly designed air systems, a minimum of one square foot of filter surface area is recommended per ton of air conditioning.
