Gorham is noted in the silver industry for producing unexcelled holloware and flatware. Designer Richard Maiella led the sterling Christmas ornament trend in 1970 with his First Edition Snowflake in 1970. Gorham Silversmiths have been producing a different, limited annual edition of this sterling silver snowflake for 38 years. Many purists do not count the 1980 silverplate snowflake as part of the series, but many collectors want it to complete their collections. This collection also includes the 1995 Twenty Fifth Anniversary Edition and the 2000 Millenium Snowflake in addtion to the regular 1995 and 2000 issues.

This set is from an individual collector, and has been lovingly cared for. All have a box, although I cannot say for certain it is the correct or original box. All have a brown tarnish resistant pouch. Only one of the thirty seven, 1980, does not have a box labeled Gorham, although the box it is in is just like the Gorham boxes of that era. If you need photographs of an individual ornament, I will try my best to accomodate.

I have tried to note whether they have the romance card. I cannot guarantee whether they are all in their correct or original box and / or pouch, but believe they are. If you have questions regarding my abbreviations do not hesitate to ask. These are professionally polished and look like new.
