This listing is for the flame light only !
You'll go forthwith to your local store and get the pole
This is a matchup of an excellent battery flame light head with a typical bamboo tiki pole found in almost any hardware or garden store.
Due to the extremely high cost of shipping bamboo tiki poles (what with the awkward length and the new 'dimensional' USPS rates), I'm selling the heads separately here, without the poles.
Your mission (should you decide to accept it) is to venture off to your local store and get as many poles as you need. They're extremely cheap, actually, generally in the 4.00 - 5.00 range. This will save you giant, almost laughable, shipping costs, what with the 5 ft length and USPS ship cost.
Just be sure the tops of the poles you pickup have a depth of about 10 inches.
This is to make room for the handle (see kit info way below).
Take a ruler !
The darker it gets, the better this looks !
--
Soooo.... there you have it.
Buy one or more of the battery flame heads, and then get the appropriate bamboo poles at your local store.
One grand advantage of this: since it's not permanently attached to the pole, you can use the flame light head wherever you like later for other non-Tiki events, such as parties, celebrations etc.
And, a most important note; these battery flamers are somewhat pricey, but they run quite a while on batteries, and are QUIET. A competing brand of battery Tiki light I've seen advertised is quite cheap, but noisy as all %#@! heck.
The info below is all you'll ever want to know about the flame light kit, which includes a wall mounting bracket and a chain for hanging. Feel free to email if questions !
Dimensions:

These have their own unique place in the Flame Light scheme of things.
More than anything, they solve a big problem wherein you need a flame effect but for any of a hundred different reasons, can't have a plug-in device.
To the rescue, exhibit A: one very robust battery powered unit that'll more than suffice for parties, stage events, show, plays, operas and home use.
They might also make for a fun romantic bedroom special effect, or dinnertime mood enhance-ment (instead of candles, for instance).
In any event, you'll have just one more level of useful display options.
Let the burning begin

Using it as a handheld; this can be great fun in the context of a play or other stage event. Halloween, of course is another obvious idea.
While not quite as bright as my regular plug-in AC type Flame Lights, this can be a good thing, since there may be plenty of occasions when you won't want an overpowering effect in the room to begin with. And the fact these are compact, self-contained, and quite portable makes them very attractive for certain uses.
As you shall soon see when you have one in hand, they're extremely well designed, with a lot of apparent thought put into it making them as utilitarian as possible. You can zoom from tabletop display, to wall mount, to hanging chain, to handheld in a flash. The 'legs' actually double as secure fasteners when attaching the handle (quite clever).
Essentially, what you'll be getting are:
1. Flame Light
2. Detachable handle
3. Wall mount bracket ( 2 screws are included)
4. Hanging chain (black)
They take 4 AA size batteries (not included but offered at bottom and auction end). And since you'll be powering both motor and lights, I highly recommend you use alkaline or rechargeable batteries. Expect a full day's use out of a fresh set, so you'll basically be covered for a special occasion. In reality, you can expect multiple days/weeks of use if in fact it's turned on for only several hours at a time.
Last but not least, it also has a built-in DC input jack just in case you have a universal AC/DC adaptor on hand and want to plug it in without using batteries.
Several copies of these have emerged over the last year, some almost as good, some not so good, but in any event these are the original high quality version from the factory that originated them.
Question from a customer: "How long do the bulbs last ?"
Actually the bulbs will probably outlast you and I both....these are the new generation of superbright L.E.D.'s, which likely are good for 5000-10,000 hrs of nonstop use each....they're extremely durable.
I sold several thousand of another item using the same type bulb, starting about 3 years ago, and have yet to get a report back of bulbs going out. Besides which, the bulbs aren't replaceable anyway (that's how confident the manufacturers are about these)..

A RECENT COMMENT......
Thanks so much. I will be using this inside two fireplaces for playhouses that are being built for a charitable cause.
This looks like it will sort of give me the effect I am looking for!
Have a great day. - D.R.
AND MORE.....
If you need further convincing (a concept I understand quite well....I'm the most sceptical buyer on earth), here's a link with a hodgepodge of raving comments from past buyers representing a variety of models of Flame Lights, plus a bunch of new ideas for using Flame Lights that have floated in recently (special thanx to everyone who contributed) such as fireplace displays, exhibits etc..... entertaining, and a must read: http://home.pacbell.net/brynalan/FLAMELIGHTTESTIMONIALS.html
Finally .... other types of flame lights are likely lurking in my ebaY store.
Clicking on comparison chart below will take you there in a flash.
These take four 'AA' size batteries, and I highly recommend alkaline type, which provide much greater longevity and power (especially where there's a motor involved in addition to lights).
Thanx for looking in !
