Note: There is no industry standard for Unions. The various brands have their own unique style, which means you must use the unions provided with the spa pump. This will most likely involve cutting off your old unions and installing the new ones shipped with the spa pump. This is why we include the nipples and couplers. To make adaptation easy. (Hardware stores do not sell these PVC couplers). If your heater is directly coupled to the spa wet end, then our pump will probably not work as the union will most likely be different.

This is the inside of the PVC union fitting	1.5" and 2" refers to the size of your PVC plumbing lines. It has nothing to do with the size of the union nuts or the size of the threads on the wet end. Do not determine the size by the inside or outside dimensions of the spa pump head inlets/outlets. You must measure the PVC supply lines. The PVC pipe slides into the union and is glued with PVC cement. 1.5" plumbing means you have 1.5" schedule 40 PVC supply lines (1 ½" I.D.; 1 7/8" O.D. on the line) circumference = 6.5" (wrap a tape measure around the pipe) 2" plumbing means you have 2" schedule 40 PVC supply lines (2" I.D.; 2 3/8" OD on the line). circumference = 8" (wrap a tape measure around the pipe) Note: Some lines are hard PVC and some are flexible lines, but have the same size O.D.

Also our pumps are Brand New not reconditioned like others auctions you have seen. We also ship with the pump the extra PVC plumbing parts you will need for the installation, as you will have to change your current unions. You will have to supply the glue (imagine the mess in the box if it spilled!) Understand that there is no uniform standard for unions in the spa pump industry, so in most cases they are different. We try to make the installation as easy as possible. You will use your existing power cord. Remember to mark your wires, before you remove them from the old pump. (common, high speed, low speed)
