We recommend this cover system for spas 5x7 feet and smaller.
Shown in our pictures is the system installed on a 7x7 foot spa and because it is definitely more of a light duty lifter there is allot of bending as the cover is lifted. Bending or “tweaking” is not unusual. However extreme or excessive bending will cause unnecessary stress and wear on the spa cover causing expensive cover replacement. We highly recommend this system for installs on smaller spas and when the cover is less than five years old as spa covers get heavier over time.
If you have a smaller spa and have it close to a wall and are looking for a lifter that only takes up about 10 inches of room for the cover to come off this would be a great system for you.
For installations requiring a stronger lift, the same type of system is available with shock lift assists. If you have no limitation on space for the cover side off of the cover, we highly recommend a lifter that pivots towards the bottom. Please see our full line of cover lift systems.
