Description:
THE FLASHER
GENERATOR FIELD FLASHER
THIS WILL WORK ON ALL MAKES AND MODELS OF PORTABLE GENERATORS
NOTE: Thank you for looking at my auctions, all of the field flasher with free CD auctions are the same! They are listed under different manufactures so we can get more people looking at what we offer. We have had to print this notice because of the number of people buying more than one thinking that they where different. Thank you and please email if you have any questions.

Note: color of your Flasher may not be the same as what you see in the photo!
Batteries are included!
Is you generator not putting out any power?
Do you want to take it down to the local shop and wait for it to get fixed?
If your generator worked the last time you used it and the next time you used it, it did not put out any power even .05 volts than most likely it has lost its magnetism and this tool can restore your generators magnetism.
Note: we do not guarantee that you will be able to fix your Generator with this tool or CD! With all of the tools & CDs that we have sold we have only had a few that it did not help fix there generator!
Stop spending needless money and fix it yourself with this tool!
If you have or work on generators your shop will not be the same! Just look......
Please Email me with any questions!
In generators, the steel lamination used to construct the rotor are designed to retain a little magnetism when the rotor is powered down. This residual magnetism is first put into the unit during the manufacturing process, by applying an external source of DC voltage of the proper polarity to the rotor. This is called Flashing the Field.
Occasionally, a generator will lose its residual magnetism (due to vibration during shipping, for instance), and it will be necessary to again flash the field. This can be accomplished by using THE FLASHER . Just start the generator up plug THE FLASHER in to the 110/115 outlet. The D.C. voltage fed through the rotor windings should restore magnetism and the fuse will pop. If the fuse does not pop after a couple of seconds unplug the flasher! It should blow it as soon as you plug it in! And if the generator does not show any output after flashing the field refer to the troubleshooting section for that generator but this should fix it almost every time. The Flasher is not guaranteed to fix your generator! This unit will introduce electricity to cause the magnetism of the rotor again. If you still do not have power after flashing the field than you most likely have a short in your rotor or stator which can cost a lot. Just trying this your self can save you a lot of money just in labor. Just think for the cost of this field flasher it is less than your local small engine shops labor!
Some manufacturers build small permanent magnets into their rotors in order to insure the presence of a residual magnetic field. Occasionally, even these units will require flashing due to the "permanent" magnet losing its magnetism.
BASIC ELECTRICITY
Electricity is a basic "ingredient" of ALL matter. To more easily understand the nature of electricity, we must first (briefly) examine the Basic Building Blocks of Matter itself.
Normally, an Atom has equal numbers of electrons and protons. Therefore it's net charge is neutral. ATOMS WANT TO BE NEUTRAL!
It is possible to "dislodge" one or more electrons from most atoms. When this occurs, the atom is left with a positive (+) net charge and is referred to as a POSITIVE ION. If a stray electron combines with a neutral atom, the atom takes on a negative (-) net charge and is referred to as a NEGATIVE ION.
ATOMS DON'T LIKE BEING IONS !!
A Negative ion seeks to rid itself of it's extra electron. A Positive ion seeks to re-gain it's missing electron. Ah yes, a marriage made in Heaven!
Under the right conditions, an Electron can be transferred from the Negative ion to the Positive ion, resulting in two happy (and neutral) atoms.
THIS IS THE BASIC PHYSICS BEHIND ELECTRICITY !
Rather simple, isn't it?
In short:
Electricity is the flow of Electrons from a point relatively rich in electrons to a point relatively Iow in electrons. (Usually)
THE IMPACT OF ELECTRICITY
In the history of man, there have been few forces which have produced so great an effect in so brief a period as has electricity. Since 1881, when the Brush Electric Light Company in Philadelphia initiated the first Central Station Service in the U.S., electricity has become the single most essential force in our economy. Without electrical power, our cities would be paralyzed.
Our near-total dependence on electrical power to operate appliances, tools and equipment for both home and on the job, has led to the development of stand-by generators to provide electricity when regular line power has failed or is not available.
Charles H. Ferguson designed a small, lightweight gasoline engine-driven generator in 1921 to light homes in rural areas where electrical power was not available. His company, the Home Electrical Lighting Company, was renamed Homelite in 1924. By 1941, the company was manufacturing eight different products, including generators, pumps and blowers. In 1946, Homelite entered the chain saw market with an electric driven chain saw powered by their latest development, a new Hi-Cycle Generator!
THE FLASHER is easy to use, just start your generator up plug it in and when the fuse pops you will have power again! Patent pending.
Hurricane Season is coming!
How to Cope with Power Outages
Be Prepared for this Year's Hurricane Predictions Hurricane Season: June 1 - November 30
In 2003, a total of 3 tropical storms and 3 hurricanes affected the United States. The most memorable was Hurricane Isabel taking 17 lives and over $3 billion in damages. In addition, numerous power outages were caused by other weather anomalies throughout the country resulting in property damage and inconveniences for millions of Americans. Although we can't change the weather, we can each be prepared for storms in advance.
TAMPA ? Hurricane forecaster William Gray's 2005 prediction includes more storms than average and more damage than ever, but a state insurance trade representative said Friday that insurance rates are not expected to increase drastically. However, widespread damage from the four hurricanes that hit Florida last year will likely result in major hikes in insurance premiums for mobile homes, said Sam Miller, executive vice president of the Florida Insurance Council.
It was a reassuring message for Florida residents, who face an above-average hurricane season, with 13 named storms, seven hurricanes and three "intense" hurricanes predicted by William Gray, a professor at Colorado State University who also spoke at the conference.
Gray and research associate Philip Klotzbach said they might increase the number of storms in the forecast when it is updated May 31 if El Nino does not materialize. El Nino is a weather phenomenon characterized by a rise in the surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean.
There is a 53 percent chance of a hurricane making landfall along the East Coast of the United States, including peninsular Florida, Gray said.
"The next 15 years, you'll see greater hurricane damage on a global basis than we've seen for the last 40 years," he said. "The more active the year, the greater the probability of landfall is."
Gray creates his hurricane forecasts based on statistical analysis of the conditions of the atmosphere and ocean temperatures, comparing the conditions of previous hurricane seasons to current conditions. He said ocean conditions suggest an increase in activity for the next few decades, similar to the seasons in the 1950s and 1960s.
Still, "no one can tell when and where a storm can occur," he added.
That wisdom permeated the final day of the conference, as Treasure Coast emergency managers attended and addressed workshops to learn the lessons of last year.
John Agwunobi, secretary for the state Department of Health, said he hoped the new knowledge would help officials and residents better prepare for the 2005 season, which begins June 1 and ends Nov. 30.
"Does the four of 2004 become the five of 2005?" he asked conference participants during a speech Friday. "I hope not. But remember, preparedness is not a destination. It's a journey."
That bad and unpredictable weather is coming!
