This brand new Rand 5-Speed Wood Lathe is the ideal addition to anyone's wood shop. In fact, with the complex turning and detail work this lathe will allow you to do, you simply can't have a serious wood shop without it!

This high quality wood lathe includes:

Lathe width capacity = 37" between centers.

Lathe diameter capacity = 12" max diameter.

Heavy-Duty cast-iron frame for stability and long life. The frame mounts to your bench through the built-in frame holes.

5 easy-to-change drive speeds: 570, 1000, 1640, 2650, 3900 RPM. This heavy-duty belt drive speed mechanism is MUCH better than the rheostat models on the market because it doesn't decrease the lathe power, saves energy, lasts longer, and is less likely to break.

Standard motor plugs into any standard 120V/60Hz outlet. Comes with built-in removable key safety switch.

Fan-cooled motor power is 3/4 HP/1725 RPM/8.5A.

Drive spindle runs through a sealed spindle bearing for longevity, and has a standard #1 Morse Taper to accept the included drive spur.

Built-in spindle lock makes changing the drive spur a breeze!

The drive spindle is threaded 3/4-16RH to accept the 4-1/4" face plate (included).

Ball bearing tail stock center with #1 Morse Taper to accept the included tail stock spur.

The tail stock is easily adjustable to accept workpieces as small as 1" and up to 37" in length. The tail stock adjusts with the turn of a simple hand wheel.

Includes two tool rests. (11-3/4" and 5-3/4")

Using the outside drive spindle (threaded 3/4-16LH), and the included outside drive face plate, you can turn oversize items, or you can convert it to a disc sander.

Heavy-duty main bed is 2-3/8" diameter.

Overall approx. size is: 50"L x 13"H x 17"D.
