The 4000A lathe can be ordered with a 3-jaw chuck and 1/4" drill chuck. These are the most often-used accessories on a lathe, and buying them as a money-saving package essentially means the drill chuck is free.
Included with the lathe is a P/N 1041 2.5" 3-jaw chuck that threads onto the headstock spindle to hold parts or material. Also included is a 1/4" Jacobs drill chuck with both #0 arbor for use in the tailstock for center drilling. Included with the lathe is a #1 Morse arbor and drawbolt that can replace the #0 Morse arbor so this chuck can also be used in the headstock as well.
Available in your choice of inch or metric handwheel graduations. Machines in the package can also be ordered with digital readouts or CNC stepper motor mounts factory installed. (Note that CNC-ready machines cannot be operated manually until stepper motors are installed.)
