"Ted Williams and Bobby Doerr of the Red Sox, at Fenway Park," Leslie Jones, 1939. This was Williams' rookie year. It is difficult to see in the thumbnail picture in this listing, but Ted's sleeves have been partially cut off by a sissor. When we showed the picture to Bobby Doerr, he smiled and told us that it really captured the essence of Ted...who would take matters into his own hands and cut off part of the sleeves of the standard issue uniform because they felt too long to him.
