Vance Larson SPACE NEBULA ABSTRACT date unknown, signed by the artist, oil on masonite 40"x60" unframed
***I am running a similar abstract by him at the same time...cheek it out and I WILL combine shipping.***
I'M NOT MAKING MONEY ON THE SHIPPING ON THIS!! If you can come up with a better shipping method or do local pickup...perfect.
As with almost all of the Larson Abstracts this one is huge. The basic design is a familiar style to his previous work, the unique thing here being the color scheme.
This painting isn't pastel or cloudy, it's bold and dark. This is from his southern California period of dreamy abstacts before he went on to native American themes.
Here is a great chance to own a work by an ever appreciating artist. Similar ones on the web go for $3000 to $9000. I actually want this to be sold and so am offering it
at a less than wholesale price for a quick sale. HiBid pays $160 insured UPS shipping. I won't make a dime on this part!!! PAYPAL or cashiers check!! . Have fun with this and good Luck
Artist Bio
Born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1951, Larson was raised in Minnesota where he was first introduced to Native American cultures. He later moved to New England and studied at Paier School of Art in New Haven. He then returned to Minnesota, completing his studies at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
Larson spent his early career in pastel and charcoal portraiture in New Orleans and throughout the US, then moved to Southern California where his work evolved into dreamlike abstract pastels of soft yet vivid colors.
Eventually, however, Larson's deep love and respect for Native American and other aboriginal cultures led him to add petroglyph and primitive art to his works, and to make his house in the Southwest. He now resides in Cave Creek, Arizona. Many of Larson's paintings can be viewed in the lobbies of prestigious office buildings, museums, and fine art galleries throughout the world. He has won numerous art awards, and his artwork has appeared prominently in national media too numerous to mention.
Shipping in the continental US will be $160. I will combine the two if you buy the other one I have listed also. This will also make the box stronger and less likely to be bent.
